Bahrain is good a place to work.It has all the modren facilities to live. There is also rule of law.Students were very good, well behaved and hard workling. I taught there from 1998-2003. I have excellent memories and also again desire to work in Bharain.

Marie: I suppose some issues have to do with being pre-teens teens in general, and the extreme shock of the environment. We´ve lived in Central America and that was a great experience. Canada or California? California is in shambles right now (my home state) but luck prevails!

I have taught in the Middle East. Qatar is safe and more open to Expats. Doha is the captial city and has a US Installation there. Bahrain, I have heard is another good location. The best location and a need for teachers is Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates!

I suppose it is a combination of interest, being intrepid, and following opportunity. I´m actually refocusing on the energy sector, which will still place me in the region. At this point, weighing my options and leaning towards something in the states so my son can complete high school here. How about you? What are some of your motivations in choosing locales?

I haven´t really come across any contract that I feel is worth relocating for at the moment although I would love to travel in the Gulf region. I´m actually focusing on starting a business so inshallah things will work out. Best of luck with your teen and absolutely demand that he has the outlets to deal with all the changes stress of relocating and being a teen. Mohammed where are you? Where are you interested willing to work? I will definitely let you know if I come across any opportunities.

Hey Tamiko! That´s great, start your own biz. Don´t give up on going overseas if its really what you want. I am working on a few things and hopefully will be on the market for work by their next hiring season in January. Have you considered going to any of the recruiting events they hold in the fall or in March? I guess it depends on what you are looking for, and your experience.
