Are there any job postings that do NOT require one to have a degree? I would like to obtain a degree, and in order for me to do that, I would like to pay off the debt I have accumulated and get back into a school.

I feel that I have enough knowledge, as of course, English is my first and main language. I have worked with children, and have taught (art) before. Please don´t get offended (if you would?,) or shrug this off as "whatever," I just honestly, would like to know. I will obtain a degree, but now, I have to do work that makes a difference in my pay check and others´ lives.

Thank you, Jessica.

Hi Jessica, I do not have a degree either but have managed to find roles in China and Thailand. It is becoming more difficult as more countries require a degree for work permit purposes. I think this will eliminate many good teachers from the pool. So, I´m sure that in the near future it will be relaxed. The other approach is to go to the country with a list of agencies and visit them in person. I worked in Thailand twice on a Tourist visa with no contract. It can be done. Hope this helps. Alan

Dear Jessica,

Don´t lose hope! There are still a lot of companies looking for native speakers to be a part of their institute, with or without a degree. South Korea is a possible place.

In my case, I have managed to get a job without a degree, and I was able to get some units till I finished my course. Mr. Alan´s suggestion is ok, try to go to other countries, look for agencies and they migh be able to help you.

There are also online courses that are cheap and legal. You have to be careful with that. Choose registered schools and they might have programs focused on online education, you can get a degree and at the same time work.

Good Luck.

Indonesia requires you to have either a degree or a certiificate of some kind, but a typical CELTA-type certificate will do just fine.
You will need to have a passport from US, Canada, UK, Aus, NZ.

Hello - I have noticed camp counselors etc adverts on here for several month terms with only requirement is native English - fun, outgoing etc -
I noticed a few in France and Italy but really if experience is the goal - location should not matter so much.
Good luck,
Stacie
