What are the most respected TEFL courses that employer´s loo...

Hi Rich, I got an online degree just to see if it was something I enjoyed learning before I thought of teaching. It was very cheap and has definitely helped but I´ve found it is not THE highest regarded certificate.
My next certificate would be the CELTA or Trinity training.
Best wishes. Julie

Start with the CELTA (120 hours) and earn more money at a better institute in the long run. CELTA and the higher level DELTA later on open all the doors.

Hi Rich, I was recommended - by a TEFL teacher trainer - to take a full-time (four week) course that´s certified by either Trinity or Cambridge. I took it and have not looked back. It´s certainly regarded as a minimum qualification by many institutions that are professionally run and by countries that pay more. The costs you will recoup within a few months of taking a job which pays well.

Hi, you should do The Royal Trinity Cert. TESOL or CELTA which for some reason is more popular. Both are fine and most respected. it is becoming more common to need a degree for highly paid jobs, but if you want to teach and travel many countries will accept TESOL qual.

Hi Julie, where did you get your online degree from, how long did it take etc?
Thanks : )
