There are two options for a qualification as a TESL Teacher Trainer:
- To train other trainees in school run by a commercial provider, you obviously need to have at least the samwe qualification yourself, perhaps in addition also degree from a recognised university, and certain teaching experience.
- Training other TESL Teacher Training students at more academic level, you certainly will need an advanced degree (Master/Doctorate) from a recognised university in a relevant subject area and preferably some relevant teaching experience.

Commercial providers offer 4-week intensive course TESL teacher training programs, and I do not understand how you can be qualified within such short time. It seems to be a business......

I have come across several ads on other ESL Boards than the present one here; currently, I know none where you might ask for such employment. My suggestion that you keep try looking. And if you come across any offer from any government-run school (e.g., in China), you will be on the safe side. If you apply in response to an offer from a private provider, it may be hard to tell and you may have to take extra effort in researching the background - what kind of company is it and have there been already complaints posted by other foreign teachers......
