IFTS, my school,l runs a Far Distance TESL teacher training program consisting of 12 degree course modules incl. Linguistics, Language Learning Theory, Language Pedagogy, Methodology, CALL etc. It is free of charge and was designed to help poor students in developing countries.
For lack of funds the program has not yet been accredited but the degree conferred is legal. In some countries, this has been sufficient for our graduates to find a suitable job.

This is NOT a commercial ad... simply a brief report!

No thanks, you are welcome!
The problem with this program, however, is that the degree earned at succesful completion may not be accepted by all employers. It is entirely at their discretion, and because we offer it for free, we have no funds to pay the accreditation fee. If we find someone to sponsor us, we would be happy to start the accreditation process. All the usual criteria to be met for recognised accreditation do suit us!

Grace,
I think it should not be discussed in tuis forum as it seems to be a private matter. Please contact me privately at the email address given on that site.
Hope you understand.

I think what you are doing is wonderful, as many countries are taking non-trained teachers and having your training is certainly great for these teachers.
Love the background...

Thank you, Marguerite, and of course, you may add a link, if you like. If you agree I will do the same on my site later when I have time.
This world in all its diversity is one, and we need to get together and help each other wherever we can.
