Teaching in the Middle East. I would love to hear from someone who has taught at either the King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah or the Modern Gulf Institute, Muscat, Oman. I´m in contact with both of these schools but it would be great to hear some first hand experiences- I would really appreciate it- thanks.

Large or small classes? Of course some teachers like to have more personal class time with their students but some teachers like to have larger classes which can be more fun in terms of student participation.

Which are some of the nicest cities (not countries) but more specifically, to teach in? Many teachers seem to prefer small towns as oppose to large metropolitan cities. Which do you prefer?

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to get a contract in South Korea for less than 12 months? I have a summer school in England next year and I have agreed to work there for 5-6weeks, I wouldn´t get enough holidays to cover this from the contracts I´ve seen so far. So, I either need a contract that would let me take this time out or a contract for less than 12 months.
Can anyone help??!

I have been offered a job in China at the National University of Defense in Chansha (Hunan). Has anyone heard of this place, or worked there? I´d appreciate any feedback.
Also, I have experience teaching in China, but the salaries don´t seem to have improved over my last foray there in 2007. I´ve heard people can make decent money there, but I don´t know where!
Thanks.

Hi, I´ve done an on-line TEFL course (100 hours, really good course), but without any teaching practice as part of it. I´m a qualified teacher with a PGCE. I´d love to become better qualified to teach children abroad, and am particularly keen to teach for a year or so in VietNam, but am wondering what course, if any, is the right one. CELTA is clearly highly rated, but is specifically for adults. Any advice gratefully received !
