I would like to work in KSA but I don´t have ESL certification. I have 2 Masters, 1 BA, and 2 associates, in addition to 6 years experience. Would this make a difference, or is it worthwhile to get the certification. Also, is it very difficult for a single woman to work in KSA without male sponsorship?
Thanks

Can teaching abroad become addictive? Did you only want to teach 1 year and found yourself 6 years later still abroad? Let me know your stories.

Hey, I am graduating with a Bachelor of Art in German with a minor in TEFL in
the United States. Where is my best bet for cancelling my $50,000 of student
loan debt? I´d like to pursue TEFL, better my German language skills and
eventually attend a graduate school (in Germany + Austria the universities
have minimal tuition fees).

My view is about retired teachers. Most of the Asian countries retire teachers at the age of 60 years. After that these teachers are not accepted for teaching in their respective countries due to one reason or the other. But I have observed that vacancies of teachers are in bulk on web.
It would be appropriate that the experience of these teachers who are in a position to work and in good health should also be given chances to contribute further at international level. In this regard a separate registration directory be established under "SERIOUS ALLIANCE OF TEACHERS & EMLOYERS".
I hope this would help to make use of qualified and experienced teachers at international level. Thank you. Mohammad Naseem-ul-Islam.

Many teachers love to teach in Europe. Does it seem that many countries in the EU have made it too difficult to obtain a VISA to work there and are schools being to difficult looking for European Passport holders?

It seems that mainly countries in Asia offer accommodation and flight. Do you as a job seeker look for these types of benefits or is the salary, place or school more important to you?

How necessary is it to learn the language of the country you are going to live in before you leave? Should one take a few lessons to know the basics or is it better to learn while there?

How can we best put pressure on the ESL profession to "clean up" the worst industry practices of broken promises, unprofessional conduct and many other issues that sully the reputation of all who are teaching and administrating? Isn´t enough enough?
Which countries have you found do not necessarily pay the best but offer the best benefits i.e. accommodation, flight etc.?

There are many ESL books on the market for teaching adults. Interchange is a title for example that has been around maybe too long. Which ones have you worked with and do you recommend any specific titles?
