I´m wondering... is it possible to teach English in Argentina and Chile without an EFL/ESL certificate? I don´t have one, but do have one year of classroom / private teaching experience. Thanks!

Now Taiwan. I am seriously thinking about going to Taiwan instead of China. I am presently a professor in the US and in the past I attempted to work at a university in Taiwan with no avail. My wife is suggesting Taiwan for various reasons and is willing to teach elementary herself. My big question is- does anyone knows of a school in Taiwan that would allow ones children to be enrolled while one teaches there? I do not have the talent to teach younger students, she does. No the other guy in the picture is not my wife; that is Sam Donaldson. Thank you.

Hi, Can anyone help me.
I am looking for a teaching position ,but because I joined the British army at seventeen, I didn´t go to university so don´t have a degree.
I would like to find countries that do not require a degree for work permit and immigration purposes.
Does anyone know if Thailand or similar places has these requirements?
I am volunteering in a school in Hong Kong at the moment, because that all I seem to be able to get.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, (Getting desperate now) Jason.

Enlischool Tianjin,China. Stay away!!! The boss is a Canadian married to the niece of the Psb. They do not pay a salary. Hourly pay only. This means that you are verbally promised xyz amount of monthly earnings. Then when your hours are reduced( which they knew before hand) you are left holding the bag. Also, You are responsible for your housing. This results in a $500 deficit just to start working. Finally, they will not transfer your visa when decide to move on and take the rest of your remaining salary. In addition, his wife stoled my own personal teaching material that is no longer in print. This will cost around $100usd to replace. Thomas

Are there any good jobs in Thailand. All i´m hearing about on forum is how bad each school is. I´m a qualified teacher (i.e. have B.Ed) and i´m looking for a job were I can do really teaching..not just be a white person speaking English. I´m open to teach anywhere in the world, besides China and Taiwan . I loved it there, but i´m looking for somewhere new.

Istanbul.
I am considering accepting a teaching job in Istanbul. I would appreciate any information regarding the culture as a whole, about any art scene that may exist, liberalism, veganism, rock climbing...
I am also curious about personal stories of young teachers in Turkey.

Istanbul

Hi, after two months of searching for work in several countries, and now sifting through
many offers, I have narrowed my search to Turkey (Istanbul) and Vietnam. I would like to hear
from anyone working in Istanbul and what your experiences are. Any companies to avoid?

I have been there as a tourist and am familiar with Turkish culture. I would like to know more
about the teaching environment, particularly in public schools. I would also appreciate any
comments on the general cost of living and what you think a fair wage is for 25 contact
´hours´ (45 min. each) per week relative to COL.

Thanks very much!

Hi everyone.
Recently I have been offered to work in the Ministry of Education in Bahrain.
Has anyone worked in this country? If so would you tell me if it is a safe place to work and your impressions about it?
Thanks a lot.
